Biography: Shawn and his wife Jennifer are residents of Wilmington Island, where his children attend their local public school. Both are active in the PTA and Shawn has served as the elected parent representative on the School Council.
Shawn has long been active in the Savannah community, particularly in the area of education. He serves on the Board of Directors for the School District's Education for A.L.L. Foundation, and is the Chairman of the Board and a classroom volunteer for Junior Achievement, an organization that brings volunteers from the business community into classrooms. He has also served as a volunteer for the Mock Trial Program at Beach High School.
Additionally, Shawn serves as the Legislative Liaison for the Board of the Georgia Employer Committee and is on the Board of the Savannah Employer Committee. He has also served on the Boards of the Downtown Business Association, the Savannah Bar Association, and on the Advisory Board of the Savannah Development & Renewal Authority.
Shawn is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Savannah and has been named “40 Under 40” by the Savannah Business Report & Journal. He has also been named a “Rising Star in Employment Litigation” by Law & Politics and Atlanta Magazine.
Shawn is an attorney at Hunter, Maclean, Exley & Dunn, where he currently serves as the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group Leader. His law practice focuses on employment law, employee benefits, and business litigation.
