Ethics…The Basis for Organizational Success

The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System is more than classrooms, media centers, and gymnasiums.  It is teachers, administrators, technicians, and many other professionals.  Thanks to the skill, dedication, and compassion of our people, we are a valuable and continuously improving community resource.

Our ongoing success depends on maintaining high ethical standards of conduct – honesty, integrity, and good judgment.  To reinforce our commitment to conducting our profession with the highest standards of ethics, we have enhanced our confidential reporting system.  The system is called the Ethics HotLine.

Board of Education Policy GAEB (Harassment), Administrative Regulation GAEB-R (Harassment), Policy KN (Complaints) and Policy GAIA (Solicitations by Staff) all provide effective means for reporting instances of harassment and discrimination. All types of harassment complaints are accepted including complaints of discrimination and harassment based on sex, race, religion, nation origin, color, disability, age, or retaliation.

SCCPSS encourages direct communication between you, your coworkers, your supervisor, or another member of management.  When you prefer to remain anonymous, you may log on to 24 hours a day, seven days a week or call 1-844-ETHICS1 ( 844-384-4271 ).

The good faith report of an incident or violation will not result in any sort of adverse employment action, unless an investigation uncovers a violation of policy on the reporter’s part.

Every employee, student, and parent has free, unlimited access to our third-party anonymous and confidential incident reporting system, the Ethics HotLine.  This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via the internet at  or call 1-844-ETHICS1 ( 844-384-4271 )

The Ethics HotLine should not be used in an emergency situation.  If you or others are in immediate danger, call 911 to receive immediate assistance.

To submit a report online, you must create an account at  You choose a user name and password for the website.  It is very important that you remember your account information.  You will use this information to follow up on your report by logging in to the website.  You may check the status of your report or add information, such as additional comments, details, and attach files to your report.
