Twilight Program Offers SCCPSS Students Options for Credit Recovery and/or Advancement

“Twilight is a wonderful PRIVILEGE. The teachers sacrifice their time away from their family and friends to provide students with the classes we need to get our diplomas and succeed in life. Thank you, Twilight!”

Amber Beasley
Windsor Forest High School

Enrollment: To enroll in the Twilight High School Program, a student must also be enrolled in a SCCPSS school and be between the ages of 16 and 20. Students must submit an application to their home school. Enrollment in Twilight is contingent upon course verification by a school counselor and approval from the principal.

Part-time vs. full-time: Part-time Twilight students attend their home school full time during the school day and then attend the Twilight program afterward. Full-time Twilight students attend the program 4-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday at Woodville-Tompkins Technical and Career Institute. Part-time students may take a maximum of two courses per session or four per school year, and full-time Twilight students may take a maximum of three courses per session.

Behavior and dress code: Students are expected to abide by the Student Code of Conduct. Upon entering the classroom, students should log on to the A+ program and are not permitted to play online games, get on social networking sites, or use the Internet inappropriately. Twilight students must adhere to the dress code followed at the district’s other schools. Full-time students may wear their work uniform to class or a collared shirt and pants, shorts, or skirt. Part-time students are expected to wear their school uniform. Students must wear their student ID at all times.

Testing and graduation: Twilight is aligned to the Common Core Georgia Performance Standards (CCGPS) and Georgia Performance Standards (GPS). All Twilight students are required to take the Georgia Milestones End of Course assessments online for all required courses. In addition student must take Student Learning Objectives (SLO) for all required courses. Students can earn credits for their high school diploma through the Twilight program; however, students graduate from their home school. Twilight students are required to fulfill all graduation requirements and must take the EOC assessments at their home school.
