Announcements: Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held to Celebrate Hospitality Program at Woodville Tompkins

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held to Celebrate Hospitality Program at Woodville Tompkins

Recently, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the partnership between SCCPSS and the Kessler Collection. Superintendent Dr. Ann Levett, Board members, staff and students of Woodville Tompkins High School, and community members were there to witness a historical moment for the district.

The Kessler Hospitality Program at Woodville-Tompkins Technical and Career High School exposes students to the principles and high service standards of the Kessler Collection luxury hotels. These standards augment the Georgia State curriculum and high quality learning experiences offered at Savannah-Chatham Public Schools.

Students apply practices through real-world work experiences in the newly constructed mock hotel rooms sponsored by the Kessler Collection’s investment of over $500,000 for the facilities.

This partnership will provide marketable, management level skills for students in a way that is mutually beneficial for education, workforce and, most importantly, the students of our local communities.
