The Superintendent’s Student of the Month for April is Christiana Johnson, an eighth grade student from Oglethorpe Charter School. Christiana

demonstrates strong leadership skills and maintains a cumulative GPA of 92. She was elected Vice President of the Student Council by her peers, serves on the Savannah Youth Council, and won the “Top Citizenship” award for 7th grade at Honors Night. She is active as a morning announcer, plays on the volleyball and soccer team, and is a member of the Beta and Photography Club.

Christiana is kind to everyone and thinks the best of her fellow classmates and teachers. Her involvement with Student Council has led to participation in many community based events. She has participated in a “Brown Bagging” event at Second Harvest Food Bank, volunteered at the Special Olympics, and will participate in the Walk for Diabetes. Her teachers describe her as an individual with a positive, can-do attitude that inspires others to be their best. When asked what motivates her for success, she replied, "My parents encourage me to be prepared and confident. Know you can do it, and don't give up!"  Congratulations to Christiana Johnson the Superintendent’s Student of the Month for April.
