Saturday, April 22nd from 9-11am Juliette Low Park in Gordonston for Earth Day. 

 May 7 Doggie Carnival put on by Humane Society! Looking for volunteers 16 years of age and up for the 7-11am (setup) and 4-7pm (breakdown). This is a fast-paced and fun day where we set up a carnival in Forsyth Park for people and their pets. Contact if interested.  Must sign up by April 15

Davenport House Summer Interpreter Program for 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students.  Click here for more info on orientation date and contact number for students to register.   

The Davenport House Museum offers its Junior Interpreter training program during summer.  The goal is to train interested high school students to become volunteer tour guides at the historic house museum.  During training, students learn tour giving techniques as well as the history of the museum and the history of Savannah. 

To qualify a student must like history, be willing to abide by the museum’s rules and have a desire to contribute to his or her community through volunteer service.  For information about the Davenport House Junior Interpreter Program, please contact Jamie Credle at the Davenport House at 912/236-8097 or email to
