New Gateway Promotion Requirements for Grades 2, 4, & 7

The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System is working to increase the literacy of all students to ensure their future academic success. 

Students in grades 2, 4, and 7 must demonstrate their competency in Reading to be eligible for promotion to the next grade. The requirements will increase each year.

The required Reading proficiency levels are as follows:
