Myers Students Learn Fortitude
Myers 8th Graders participated in a new program offered by Oatland Island Wildlife Center. The program brings history and science performance standards together during a hand’s on experience at Fort Pulaski.

Welcome to the Office of Curriculum and Instruction!

The Office of Curriculum & Instruction includes the instructional content areas of Literacy (English Language Arts, Reading, Writing), Math, Science, Social Studies, Visual and Performing Arts, World Languages, Health and Physical Education.  In addition, the district's Program for the Gifted, Instructional Technology, Professional Learning, Athletics, Massie Heritage Center, Oatland Island Wildlife Center, as well as English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) are all part of the Office of Curriculum & Instruction.

We are very excited to be part of the statewide implementation of the Common Core Georgia Performance Standards (CCGPS).  Georgia joined with 46 other states, to develop a set of core standards for kindergarten through high school in English, language arts, and mathematics, and in grades 6-12, literacy in science, history/social studies, and technical subjects.  The Common Core Georgia Performance Standards (CCGPS) provide a consistent framework to prepare students for success in college and/or the 21st century workplace.
