The much anticipated, and much needed, gymnasium project for Windsor Forest High School got underway with an official groundbreaking ceremony in May of 2011. The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System marked the start of construction for the brand new Physical Education facility that boasts over 28,000 square feet of space.
Now, students will be delighted to gain the full benefit of a fully functional gymnasium that will include a 2,500 square foot weight room, a football locker room, two team locker rooms, two PE locker rooms, and a training room. The new facility will carry a wide range of usage with a gym that contains a 1,200 seat capacity, making for a premiere location to hold community events, sporting activities, and school organized events.
