2011-2012 School Nutrition Program Announcements
- Free and Reduced Meal Applications must be submitted to the Central Office located: 208 Bull Street, Room 309 Savannah, Ga. 31401. The meal applications are processed centrally.
- The 2011-2012 Free and Reduced Meal Applications are currently available on the SCCPSS Website.
- Please use ONE (1) Free and Reduced Meal Application per household. the Please be sure to complete the entire Free and Reduced Meal Application. Incomplete applications will be returned which will cause a delay in processing.
- Please use 2011-2012 Free and Reduced Meal Application ONLY.
- If you did not submit a meal application for your child for this current school year, after October 11, 2011 please send money with your child to pay for their meals. The cost for Breakfast $1.00 for (All Grade Levels) and reduced Breakfast price is $.30. Lunch price for (K-8) $2.00 and $2.25 for Lunch grades 9 -12. Reduced Price for Lunch is $.40.
- Runaway, homeless and migrant students qualify for free meals. Please contact your school’s social worker for details.
- Adult meal prices are: Breakfast $1.85 and Lunch $3.25 for dinning in and take outs are $3.35.
- Elementary schools will celebrate National School Lunch Week on October 10-14, 2011. The Theme is: “School Lunch: What’s On Your Tray?” and Heart Week in February and National Nutrition Month in March.
- Secondary schools will celebrate National Breakfast Week and National Nutrition Month in March.
- Our District has a Wellness Policy. It was approved in April, 2006 by the school board. The wellness task force committee will develop administrative regulations.
- MyLunchMoney.com is another option for parents to prepay for students meals.
- Menus are posted on the SCCPSS Website each month.
