2011-2012  School Nutrition Program Announcements

Free and Reduced Meal Applications must be submitted to the Central Office located: 208 Bull Street, Room 309 Savannah, Ga. 31401. The meal applications are processed centrally.

The 2011-2012 Free and Reduced Meal Applications are currently available on the SCCPSS Website.

Please use ONE (1) Free and Reduced Meal Application per household, this includes foster children.

Please be sure to complete the entire Free and Reduced Meal Application. Incomplete applications will be returned which will cause a delay in processing.

Please use 2011-2012 Free and Reduced Meal Application ONLY.

If you did not submit a meal application for your child for this current school year, after October 3, 2011 please send money with your child to pay for their meals. The cost for Breakfast (Pre-K-12) is $1.00 and Reduced Breakfast price is $.30 and Lunch Meal Prices are: Elementary (Pre-K-8) $2.00 and Secondary (9-12) is $2.25 and Reduced Price for Lunch is $.40.

Milk is $.50 per carton.

Runaway, homeless and migrant students qualify for free meals.  Please contact your school’s social worker for details.

 Adult meal prices are: Breakfast $1.85 and Lunch $3.25.

Elementary schools will celebrate National School Lunch Week on October 10-14, 2011. The Theme is:  “School Lunch: “Let’s Grow Healthy” and Heart Week in February and National Nutrition Month in March.

Secondary schools will celebrate National Breakfast Week, Heart Week and National Nutrition Month in March.

Our District has a Wellness Policy. It was approved in April, 2006 by the school board. The wellness taskforce committee will develop administrative regulations.

  On-Line prepayment is encouraged for your children.   Mylunchmoney.com is available for parents to place money electronically on their child’s account. This on-line prepayment process will allow parents to manage their child’s prepayment accounts.   The contact number is 1-800-479-3531 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.  Eastern Standard Time and you need your child’s student ID# to access your account.
