The Data and Information Division consists of diverse employees under multiple departments, decentralized throughout the district. In order to help clearly express our characteristics as a division and dedication to our children, we have created a visual identity, a symbol. This symbol serves as a major unifying element that promotes our culture, our belief, our identity in why we exist and what we value. It is the final layer that follows our Philosophy and Guiding Principles of the Division.

 DDI Logo

The components of the symbol

  • Children – Our children are on top, indicating diversity and equality. They are, first and foremost, our priority.
  • Computer – The computer represents all technology based tools. These tools are used to enhance, add knowledge, and/or accelerate instruction and business processes.
  • Words – Creativity, innovation, and collaboration are essential 21st century skills our children need to compete in today’s global economy.
  • Green – symbolizes learning and growing, a desire to expand, to change and transform. It is the color of life.
