The College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI)

In Georgia and across the nation, parents want to know that their children are receiving a top-notch education.  As part of the state's waiver from the federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act, more commonly known as No Child Left Behind (NCLB), Georgia implemented the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) in 2012.  The CCRPI is Georgia's tool for annually measuring how well schools, districts, and the state itself are preparing students for success at the next level.

The CCRPI score consists of four main components -- Achievement, Progress, Achievement Gap, and Challenge Points.  Each of these components consists of multiple indicators at the elementary, middle, or high school level, and includes measures such as performance on state assessments and college entrance exams, student attendance, and high school graduation rates.  Taken as a whole, the CCRPI serves as a comprehensive measure that helps parents, community members, and educators promote and improve college and career readiness for all students.
