ALL ABOUT OUR PHILATELY PROJECT Philately is the study of stamps. It includes collecting stamps, and the history of stamps. Our philately project is an individual stamp collection. We have canceled and mint United States stamps in our collection. We have used different resources, such as encyclopedias, the internet, and stamp catalogs to research our stamps. We have learned a lot of history about the people, events and places shown on stamps. We also discovered the mint and used value of each stamp. Face value or denomination is the value on the front of the stamp. We learned that many stamps gain in value over time. Our stamp project is a fun way to learn about U.S.A. history. USING OUR WEBSITE Click on the navigation bar on the left to visit the different pages in our site. Most pages have other links to interesting sites about stamps. |
