
In a recent groundbreaking ceremony the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System marked the official start of construction for the new high school on Little Neck Road. The school will be among one of the newest High Schools in Savannah-Chatham County and its construction is another ESPLOST funded project.
The facility will hold 175,370 square feet of educational space with offer 46 new classrooms to include, science and career education labs, art, choral and band rooms, a black box theatre, a Media Center with integrated stations, and video production studio. On the school’s completion a 32,000 sq. ft. gymnasium to include team locker rooms, coaches’ offices, a multipurpose room, and weight room will be featured. Additionally, varsity level athletic practice fields will be developed. The new state of the art two-story facility will also offer wired and wireless Internet access, and will be equipped with integrated security and intrusion devices.
The school site is set in a beautiful wooded setting and will serve the residents of West Chatham County. Many Chatham County School Board representatives, District and Elected Officials were on hand to take part in the ceremony.
