Title

Mr. William's Middle School GEP

Body

Well Hello! We have had a great start to the new year and are moving into some new and exciting events. Our biggest project of the year is the GSU Fall Model UN Conference at Georgia Southern in lazy Statesboro, Georgia on Friday, Nov. 8th. The students really enjoy this trip and have a great educational experience. Students are finally starting to write their position papers on some really interesting Resolutions that are real world topics and bring out a lot of passionate responses. Each student delegate will be representing a United Nations member country and role play as a delegate during the day. The Model UN is an eye opening experience for students as they debate these real world topics in moderated and un-moderated forums with students from around the state of Georgia. Parents are invited to travel to GSU to watch the Model UN Conference if desired. Please return the permission forms and student fee as soon as you can. Additionally, the 10 week GCEE Stock Market Game simulation starts sessions in the FALL and the SPRING. Our yearly GIS Day Savannah trip is approaching in November at Savannah Tech. The 6th grade GEP students have done a great job with many Exploration themed assignments are are preparing for risky adventures with the Stock Market Game and Adelie Penguins in Antarctica. Our 6th GEP students are also involved with the GSU Model United Nations.
