4th, 5th, 6th Grade Duke-TIP Opportunity 2017-2018 Ellis is pleased to offer information on the Open Enrollment for this academic opportunity to all qualifying 4th, 5th and 6th graders. Benefits of the program are listed online and all registration can be done online at the Duke TIP site. • Enrollment is now open for 4th-6th Duke TIP! • Requirements for Duke TIP’s 4th-6th grade program have been updated. Updates were released in September. • Duke TIP accepts scores from many different tests for eligibility, so visit the following page when identifying your student(s): • Each K-8 in SCCPSS strives to have Duke TIP representation in 4th, 5th, & 6th. If students do not qualify based on standardized test scores, Educator’s Recommendations for deserving students are accepted. More information about this can be found at: : • Qualifying students should register for the Duke TIP program AND a PSAT 8/9 test date. PSAT Test Dates & Application Deadlines are quickly approaching! Find all dates and sign up for testing here: • If any student qualifies and parents do not wish to register for the program or a test date they will be asked to fill out an Opt Out Form as requested by the Savannah-Chatham Co. BOE. • Some students may qualify for Duke TIP financial aid. More information can be found here: • All 4th, 5th, 6th grade Duke TIP students who sit for the PSAT 8/9 automatically qualify for Duke’s 7th grade Talent Search program when they reach that grade.
