ELLIS EXPRESS RAISES NEARLY EIGHT-HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR GRADUATION CEREMONY
The Eighth-grade class is sponsoring a dress down day for Thursday, June 7th. The event is being held to sponsor the athletic program's track team. Proceeds are also going toward the rising 8th grade class for a start-up fund for Ellis Express.
This year the Ellis Express raised nearly $800 dollars. These funds have been spent to enhance this year's graduation ceremony. Next year's rising eighth-graders are raising funds via donations from stores including Wal-Mart and are also trying to raise as much money before the next school year so that parents can buy a majority of their childrens' school supplies at the Ellis Express in the fall. Students are setting a goal to raise more than $1,000 by selling school supplies to students and their parents on this store on wheels.
