Hi, I am Mr. Trent. I am excited to be named the “teacher of the year” at Charles Ellis Montessori Academy! This will be my twelfth year in the Ellis family and my sixteenth year in the education field. I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education. I spent 4 years teaching in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia while pursuing my Master of Education Degree in reading education at the University of Virginia. After my move to Savannah, I earned my Specialist Degree in instructional leadership from NOVA Southeastern University. Most recently, I have completed a Lower and Upper Elementary American Montessori Society Certification program. I am so excited for this upcoming school year to put into practice all the wonderful methodology I’ve learned over the years! I love to travel in my free time. This past summer I explored London, Paris, Bath, Liverpool, Reykjavik, Corner Brook, and Halifax. When I’m not traveling, I enjoy spending time with my friends and walking my Shaba Inu, Loki. I like reading historical fiction books and watching spooky (but not too scary) movies.
