April Wright Instructional Support Person of the Year

April Wright
Instructional Support Person on the Year!

Mrs. April Wright is a resident of Hardeeville, SC with her husband, Richard Wright, Jr.  They are proud parents of 5 children, 19 grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters.  She is the oldest of 12 children, and is not a stranger to preparation and hard work.  Her belief in family values, spending quality time with family, and faith in God are the foundation of her character.  She truly believes that it takes a village to nurture strong independent thinking little people into progressive adults.  She has an Associate's Degree, in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.

She has over 15 years working with young children, and has worked as a school bus driver, substitute teacher, daycare provider, and a paraprofessional.  She is energetic, compassionate, and words well with others.  Mrs. Wright has been known to do whatever is needed to help others without any expectation in return.  She understands that going above and beyond the required duties and positively projecting the energy that children need will facilitate a positive learning experience.  This may include giving extra hugs, drying up tears, and bringing treats in addition to providing assistance with their daily learning.

Mrs. Wright gives encouraging words to parents who may not always get to hear positive things about their child to promote hope in both the child and their family.  "I truly love what I do here for the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System!" she says.  She is  proud to be our ISPY representative for the 18-19 School Year and will work diligently to let her natural "SUPERHERO" abilities add to the Hesse learning environment.
