Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Department
The goal of CTAE is to provide students with opportunities to enhance their computer technology, decision-making, productivity, communications, and problem-solving skills. In the area of Marketing, students develop skills in applying economic concepts to marketing, distribution and logistics, marketing information management, finance in marketing, product/service planning, pricing mixes, promotional strategies, and personal selling.
In these courses, high school students acquire advance skills required to create, edit, and publish industry appropriate documents. Areas of study will also include oral and written communication and information research for report purposes. Competencies for the co-curricular student organizations such as Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and DECA, an Association of Marketing Students, are an integral component of both the core employability skills standards and technical skill standards.
