World Language Department

The World Language Department at Beach High School is dedicated to making our students competent members of a global society. So many aspects of our daily lives depend on international communication – the economy, media, medicine, business, politics…you name it, and we interact with foreign countries to expand it! We want to give the students at Beach High the opportunity to be a part of the world outside of the City of Savannah. We want our students to be competitively marketable for colleges and universities, technical schools, and the work force.

Research has proven that students who do well in foreign languages in high school have better SAT/ACT scores than their peers and have stronger verbal and written communication skills.
