Welcome to Garden City Elementary School’s website - Home of the Hawks.
Our school is located in Garden City, Georgia, and serves over 500 students in kindergarten through 5th grade.
The 2019-2020 school year will provide learning experiences that allow students to master grade level standards through exploration, the use of instructional technology, interactive reading and math journals, hands-on experiences, and inquiry-based learning.
The professionals at Garden City Elementary School are dedicated and highly qualified, with a focus on student learning, and a commitment to high expectations and academic excellence. Together with the school leadership team and school council, we will work in collaboration to ensure ambitious learning goals are set, and accountability measures are in place to monitor progress toward meeting those goals.
As instructional leaders, we are pleased with the academic progress we achieved during the 2018-2019 school year. Our greatest initiative is to continue to provide leadership that will facilitate quality instruction to meet the needs of each student.
As we reflect on achievement data as measured by the Georgia Milestones Assessment System (GMAS), Garden City Elementary School ranked among the top 5 schools in the Savannah-Chatham County School System, with the highest CCRPI score for school year 2017-2018. Our school’s CCRPI score for the 2017-2018 school year was 81.8. In December 2018, the Georgia Department of Education designated Garden City Elementary as an All-Stars for Learning School.
We are excited about the 2019-2020 school year, where teaching and learning occurs at high levels.
It is our utmost intent to arm our students with knowledge and life skills to be productive and contributing members of society. We will strive to build character among our students, by encouraging them to be Honest, Ambitious, Wise, Kind, and Studious, as a reflection of our school’s mascot, the Hawk.
We solicit the support and cooperation of parents and community partners to make this a productive school year for the students we serve.
