I was looking for a school challenging and kind of cool
Where the teachers knew my name and the learning was no game

To bring out the best in me and could help me find my way

When I found this institution filled with teens from everywhere
Teachers, staff, and counselors; principals who really care
I began to understand information I will need:
English, Science, Art, and Math, showing me the perfect path
Now I feel like I belong, daring, smart, and oh so strong
Groves is looking good, so smile, cuz the tartan’s back in style
But we found some 5% giving in to the wrong crowd
Smoking, fighting, skipping class, and were just extremely loud
We decided to follow our own dreams and our own goals
So stayed away from them and realized we’re in control
Don’t you try to change our minds, our ambitions and our aims
We won’t deviate our course from our plan to have a name
I wake up in the morning and I take a shower
I eat my breakfast to give me some power
I put on good shoes to make me look
Still kind of sleepy but I gotta go to school
