2nd grade students must earn a certain Scholastic Reading Inventory (SRI) Test score to be promoted.  Students entering 2nd Grade should read books which fall within their Lexile range. The Lexile range is a score found on the STAR Reading report which was sent home at the end of 1st grade for Chatham County Students.  Help your child prepare by reading 20 minutes nightly (Monday - Friday). Alterante books from fiction (fake) to nonfiction (real) to ensure your child is prepared for both genres.
