Students and parents,
During the last week of school, students were given Summer Reading Lists. Upcoming 7th graders should pick six books from the list that are within 100 points of their current Lexile level. Five of the books should be fiction, and one book should be nonfiction. Please see the attached list for reference. Students should be keeping a reading log (an example is provided in the attachment) that will be turned in the first week of school and will count as two homework grades. Reading is a number one priority for seventh grade, and students must have meet certain reading requirements to be promoted to 8th grade.
