Ms. Whitney has been described as a consummate and passionate educator with the energy of 100 children. Ms. Whitney received her master degree in Early Childhood education in 2002 from Armstrong Atlantic University.
Kathryn Whitney is an experienced roadtripper and camper. She once traveled 12,000 miles in a single summer with her husband, two children, and two tents in a Prius. Taking on bears, monsoons, haboobs, and weeks of enforced family bonding with unwavering enthusiasm, Ms. Whitney is equal parts canny and adventurous. This combination has proved invaluable in her journey as a teacher.
Teaching is an integral part of Ms. Whitney. She is a thorough, conscientious, and caring teacher. She teaches her students not only standards but also courtesy and respect. She models these traits for her protégés. Her main objective as a teacher is to create a positive, nurturing environment where all students feel free to explore, learn, and grow. Her greatest accomplishment is the continued success of past students and intern teachers.
