QBA's

The 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will be taking Quarterly Assessments this week. ELA will be given on Tuesday. Reading will be given Thursday and Math will be given on Friday.

McTeacher's Night a Huge Success!

Thanks to all the parents, students, and staff members who helped make McTeacher's Night such a success! The baskets were a huge success and the teacher's loved helping the customers.

Jump Rope for Heart

Congratulations to all the students who participated in last Wednesday's Jump Rope for Heart! Not only did you help your body by jumping, but you helped others who have heart disease. We raised over $5,000. A big thank you to all you contributed their time and effort for such a great cause!

McTeacher's Night

I look forward to seeing everyone at our McTeacher's Night this Tuesday, February 21st. It will be held at the Derenne Avenue McDonald's. We have many fine prizes for you to win. Tell your friends, family and neighbors!

A portion of all McDonald's sales at this store, during these hours, will be given to Heard Elementary.

Our Math Night was very successful! The students enjoyed playing games and learning about activities they could do at home to learn more about math.

January Parent Gator Tales

Dates to Remember

January 12^th- Spelling Bee (9:30 am)

January 16^th- Holiday for All-Martin Luther King Holiday

January 17^th- Open House for New Academy Students (4:30-6:30)

January 24^th– Math Night and PTA (Math Night begins at 4:30. PTA begins at 6:00 (Pizza will be sold beginning 5:15)

January 26^th- School Council meeting 4:00

Congratulations to our Special Olympics winners!

We had 2 GOLD winners and 1 SILVER winner at the State Special Olympics contest held in Atlanta this past weekend! Congratulations to all the winners and a special thank you to Mrs. Meadows!
