Juliette Low Families:

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! This year promises to be a very special one, as we move into our new home.  I really appreciate your patience throughout the construction process; but now we have our new school, and can focus our efforts on exceptional teaching and learning.

Thanks for your warm southern welcome, as I transitioned from Virginia to Savannah.  I look forward to championing excellence at the School of Humanities at Juliette Gordon Low Elementary.  We will strive to have excellence in academics and excellence in behavior, as we work together to provide our students the very best that education has to offer them!  I will call on all of our families to get involved with our new school, and support all of our efforts to construct excellence this school year.

Here are some things that you can do to help me, help your child.  Send them to me each day prepared to learn.  That means well rested, homework completed, daily reading completed and dressed in our school uniform.  Attend school events and conferences so that we can keep you informed about your child’s progress.  Call us if you have concerns, so that we can make sure we are doing all that we can to help your child be successful.  Make sure that your child follows “Scout’s Laws” our expectations for student behavior – “Be Responsible! Be Safe! Be Respectful! The more we partner as advocates for your child’s educational success, the more successful your child will be!

Thanks for joining me on this incredible journey!  It is my honor to serve you and your children as the principal of this beautiful new school.

Yours in the pursuit of educational excellence,

Jacob M. Wilson, III, PhD
