Loss and Regeneration: Preserving Savannah
Explore the architectural styles of the Victorian Era (1827-1901), learn about some of the most historic buildings in Savannah, and develop an understanding of Savannah’s preservation movement.

In this exhibit, see one of the last remnants of one of Savannah's most iconic buildings - a large circular window from Old City Market in Ellis Square. The beloved 1872 marketplace was demolished in the 1950's to build a parking garage. However, it's destruction helped to solidify the citizens of the city to preserve their architectural history and culture.
