What is an “International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme”?
The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme at Marshpoint Elementary School offers an inquiry based curriculum that allows students to become responsible world citizens and reflective lifelong learners. A more detailed description is available here.
How does the PYP program differ from some of the other Specialty Schools?
The PYP IB at Marshpoint is a “school-wide” program. A portion of our student enrollment is made up of specialty school students. The remainder is made up of students we receive from our assigned school zone. All students in grades Kindergarten through 5th participate in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. Some of the other Specialty Schools are not “school-wide” programs and eligibility is determined through testing or evaluation of test scores, and other criteria.
Does Marshpoint International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme School provide Special Education services?
