Good Afternoon May Howard Parents and Staff-
I hope this message finds all of you healthy and safe.
This week will be our final week of online school for the 2019-2020 school year. Friday, May 15th is the last day of school! We appreciate all of the parents, grandparents, and other family members who have stepped up to assist with online learning. We know it has been a new experience and we take our hats off to all of you on your amazing efforts at keeping your children engaged and involved with our teachers. This was not exactly the way we saw our year ending, but we certainly can agree that we are all safer for it.
Please make sure that you have changed your email address in Parent Access. Report Cards will be released digitally on May 22nd and your email must be up to date.
A huge congratulations goes out to Isla Thomas in 2nd grade. Her PTA Reflections entry in film production has placed at the National level! What an amazing accomplishment. We are so proud of her.
And the Hawks just continue to amaze me: Congratulations also go to Addison Brady and Brylee Rein for the Best in Class Geography State Social Studies Fair Award. These students had to go the extra step and create a virtual piece to their project to go on to the State level but they won for the project entitled “Bermuda Triangle.” And a huge thank you to Ms. Novak, their supervising teacher.
Even while we are virtual, we continue to SOAR!
Parents, please remember that, at this time, there is no entry into the school. We do realize that students have their belongings in the building. At some point we know they need to retrieve those items. As soon as the district has a plan for re-entry, you and your children will be allowed to get those things. This includes the yearbooks which many of you purchased in advance.
Please continue to be safe and take care of those you love. We send wishes of “Happy Mother’s Day” to all of our fabulous mothers, grandmothers, aunts, friends, cousins, people who care for others as a mother. The love they share makes everything better. We are forever grateful for all they do and hope they are having a great day! They deserve it.
Stay safe. Stay healthy.
We remain #MAYHOWARDSTRONG.
Have a great week.
