I hope this message finds all of you healthy and safe on this, our last day of school for the 2019-2020 school year! Thank you for entrusting us with educating your children. It has truly been a pleasure to work with them each day and we will miss all of them. We will especially miss our 5th graders as they move onto Middle School in August. They are ready for this new challenge and great adventure, and I know they will make us proud. Go get ‘em Hawks! Your world awaits!
Parents, if you and your child are moving or leaving the district, then we are asking that you email or contact your child’s teacher to let him/her know right away. Mr. Ailes and I will be at the school for a few days next week to retrieve any devices or Media Center books which your children may have before you move. Your teachers will let you know what days and times you can drive by and drop those items off. If your child is going to remain in the Savannah-Chatham County School System, then we are asking that you continue to utilize the device you were issued for the summer reading assignments and enhancement activities which will be released on June 1st. Those devices will be collected at a later time.
Unfortunately, we cannot allow anyone to access the building at this time, so we are still not sure when parents will be able to get yearbooks or items from classrooms. As soon as the district makes those plans available, we will let you know that schedule as well.
Please make sure that you have changed your email address in Parent Access. Report Cards will be released digitally next Friday, May 22nd and your email must be up to date.
We appreciate your patience, and we wish you and your family the best of health during these times ahead.
Stay safe. Stay healthy.
We remain #MAYHOWARDSTRONG.
Have a great summer.
