Are you are looking to fulfill your community service hours? Do you want to learn more about wildlife and conservation or assist with teachers during our summer camp program? Volunteer at special events? If so, then Oatland has something for you!
Oatland Wildlife Leaders (OWLs)
The mission of the Oatland Wildlife Leader (O.W.L.) teen program is to provide students with an opportunity to increase and share their knowledge of animals and the environment while gaining valuable volunteer experience in a wildlife center setting. Throughout the program, we aim to teach Oatland's mission, have students gain a deeper understanding about wildlife conservation, learn about our animal collection, engage in an important Community Environment Action Project and participate in informal educational presentations. This program requires a year-long commitment and is application based. Applications for next year's program will be available here February 2019.
Summer Camp Assistant
Dependable volunteers help make our camps succeed in quality and efficiency. Summer Camp runs weekly, Monday through Friday, 9:00AM-3:00Pm. Each weekly session needs volunteers as Junior Camp Counselors to help supervise campers and assist with camp activities. You must be at least 14 years of age and commit to working the full week of your assigned camp. Volunteer for as many weeks as you would like and receive community service credit for your time! Consider being a part of the Oatland team this summer! Application for summer camp assistant will be available here in May 2019.
