Come out on Saturday, April 2nd from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. to Parent University at Savannah High School and become a more effective advocate for your child (children). Gain information on the impact of parental involvement in education, relevant legislation, and important data. Also learn how to communicate with administration to understand school goals and the school improvement plan. You will also learn how to plan programs that will help to increase student achievement and success.
This training has been approved and supported by the Georgia Department of Education as pre-certification for the 360 Degrees of Family Engagement for Parent Involvement Coordinators, Parent Liaisons and Parent Mentors. The training also provides a unique opportunity for parents as well as staff to be trained simultaneously on creating a welcoming environment in the school and working collaboratively as dynamic advocates for our children.
Who Should Attend: A staff member and one PTA leader from each school and any parent interested in student success.
