PBIS stands for positive behavior interventions and supports. *There are a few important principles:
- Positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) is a way for schools to encourage good behavior.
- The key to PBIS is prevention, not punishment.
- All students are involved in PBIS and it is a school wide initiative
If students are on time and present each day, for the entire month, student will also receive a reward. Rewards can vary from dress down passes, enter a raffle, a monthly party or even an item from the school store!
Bark Bucks & School Store
If a student has at least 4 out of 5 days with good behavior, the student earns one "Bark Buck."
Students can use their "Bark Bucks" to buy items from the school store once per month.
If you would like to donate items to the school store, please see Mrs. Mincey Alexis.Mincey@sccpss.com or Mrs. Baker Teresa.Baker@sccpss.com
Hallway & Lunchroom
Students walk in the hall "zip & cross." This means lips are closed and arms are folded as to not touch other students and not to disturb other classrooms.
In the cafeteria, red, green and yellow cups are placed on the tables to control volume, allow students to eat and the opportunity to socialize.
