Academic Entrance Criteria
Rising 9th Grade Students
§ Most recent copy of nationally-normed test scores must be a total stanine of 5 or above in Math, Reading, and English Language Arts. For SCCPSS students, MAP reading score of 223 or above and MAP math score of 228 or above are required.
- Norm-referenced achievement tests shall be the most current editions of tests, or editions approved by GA DOE, that measure reading skills, including comprehension, and shall yield a total reading score and/or a total mathematics score based upon a combination of scores in mathematics concepts and applications. These tests have been reviewed for bias and are normed on a nationally representative sample with respect to race, religion, national origin, sex, disabilities, and economic background within a 10-year period prior to administration.
§ Combined GPA (Grade Point Average) of 80 or better in academic subjects (English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reading) for the most current report card period AND the 7th grade report card.
