As nations become increasingly interdependent, the need for effective communication and sensitivity to other cultures becomes more important. Today’s youth must be culturally and linguistically prepared to participate in a global society.
College preparatory students at Savannah Arts Academy are required to successfully complete three sequential years of a world language. Skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing are developed progressively throughout the three years of study.
The world language program at Savannah Arts Academy provides instruction that accommodates students’ diverse learning styles. Activities are designed so that critical thinking skills and higher level thinking are emphasized. The arts, culture and other academic disciples are an integral part of the world language curriculum.
Students are encouraged to become life-long learners by using their newly acquired second language skills for both personal enjoyment and career enhancement.
