Jefferson Awards/Students In Action
Students in Action: Students in Action is Savannah Arts Academy's community service club. All students are welcome to join us in our activities. Most announcements are made via our Facebook page called Students in Action. Students who would like more information can see Mr. Corbett or an SIA member for details.
The Jefferson Awards: Savannah Arts Academy began participating in the Jefferson Awards program in February of 2009. The purpose of this program is to recognize students for outstanding community service work and to inspire others to do the same. The Students in Action group is responsible for implementing the Jefferson Awards Program.
Nomination & Selection of Winners: Nominations will be accepted during brief windows that will be announced in advance. The Jefferson Awards Team will meet to consider the nominations and will be giving a great deal of attention to the impact of the service, not just the number of hours performed. Selected winners will be recognized and awarded pins and certificates.
Nomination Form: Students/faculty members may download the Nomination Form at any time, but they will only be accepted during the announced nomination window.
