The SAA Counselors are back at work (virtually) and gearing up for the 2020-2021 school year during the hours of 7 AM to 3 PM only. Dr. Hadley joined the counseling team at SAA in 2015. She has been an educator since 1992 performing roles from classroom teacher to administrator. Dr. Hadley has an Ed.D in Education Administration. She enjoys travel, crafts, gardening, and books that aren't assigned to her.

Mr. Corbett moved to Savannah from the Boston area and has been a counselor at SAA since 2005. He has an Ed.S degree in School Counseling and was originally trained at Northeastern University in Boston. Mr. Corbett has been a school counselor since 2000. Outside of SAA he can be found performing Irish music and planning trips to Europe.

Brooke Relihan- Counselor
Ms. Relihan joined the SAA counseling team in 2018. She has worked as a school counselor since 2005 and has an Ed.S degree from Georgia Southern University. Brooke enjoys traveling, yoga, painting, and perfecting her break dancing moves. Though an avid reader, she spends most of her spare time with her family.

Ms. Hamrick, from Laurel, MS, joined the staff of SAA in 2015. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from St. Leo University. Ms. Hamrick enjoys reading and relaxing on the beach, traveling, and cooking.

The Savannah Arts Academy Counselors meet with students throughout the year to assist them with various issues including college and career planning, personal problem solving, and high school academic planning. The SAA Counselors help students select the most appropriate programs of study to ensure their success in high school and to plan for the years after graduation. Counselors work with families to help with academic, college, and career planning questions that arise. Students who would like to request an appointment should use the link above or scan one of the QR codes located throughout the building.
Mission Statement: The mission of the Savannah Arts Academy Counseling Department is to provide a comprehensive program that supports academic achievement, career development, postsecondary planning, and personal/social growth. The counseling department will work collaboratively with students, teachers, administrators, parents, and the community to encourage a passion for learning and teaching at high levels.
