Good Afternoon SWES Parents,

Dear 5th Grade Parents and/or Guardians,

We are pleased to invite you to your child's 5th Grade Bridging Ceremony on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Southwest Elementary in our cafeteria.

Students can bring a change of clothes with them on the 18th or can choose to wear their outfit to school.

Dress Code for the Bridging Ceremony

Girls:

  • Dress, skirt with blouse (appropriate length) or dress pants with a blouse
  • Shoes: flats, small heel (no high heels)
  • No spaghetti straps, or strapless tops

Boys:

  • Dress pants with a buttoned-up shirt/colored shirt with belt
  • A tie or suit is optional (not required)

School uniforms are acceptable as long as they are clean and in good condition.  (Boys must wear a belt with their uniform)

**Jeans and shorts are not allowed to be worn for the ceremony.  Any student wearing jeans or shorts will not be allowed to be an active part of the ceremony.

All 5th grade students will take part in the 5th Grade Bridging Ceremony regardless of whether they may need to attend summer school to meet the end of year promotion requirements.

We look forward to seeing you at the Bridging Ceremony. If you have any questions about the ceremony please feel free to contact your child's homeroom teacher.

Sincerely,

Ms. Fitzgerald
