The doors of West Chatham Elementary School first opened in August of 1999, with a student population of 342.  Little did the principal at the time, Ms. Susan Creech, and the WCES faculty know that in just ten years the number of WCES students would almost triple! West Chatham Eagles have certainly “soared” to keep up with tremendous growth; the school building, with two new wings, is now home to over 950 students and over 80 faculty and staff.  We welcomed Mr. Peter Ulrich, our new principal, in 2008, and under his leadership continue to establish outstanding academic foundations for our students in a safe and nurturing environment.  We are fortunate to be a part of a supportive community and work with inspiring students and families. We continue to support the shared belief that the home, school, and community, working together, ensures WCES is an outstanding school for our students and your children.
