What is PowerSchool
Parents and guardians of students enrolled in Savannah-Chatham County Public Elementary Schools can now view their child’s academic progress through PowerSchool, the District’s new student information system. PowerSchool is used to view student attendance, grades, transcripts, report cards and more. PowerSchool brings together teachers, students, parents and administrators in an easy to use web-based data system that provides real-time information over the Internet.
Connecting the Home and the School
Recent studies have shown that parental involvement is critical to student learning achievement. PowerSchool was the first web-based student information system to recognize the importance of connecting the home with the school and offer an external interface to parents and students. With PowerSchool's powerful communication tools, everyone stays connected. Students stay on top of assignments, parents are able to participate more fully in their student's progress and teachers can use their grade book to make decisions on what information they want to share with parents.
With PowerSchool, parents and guardians can accomplish the following online:
- Access real-time student performance data
- Track assignments and attendance
- Communicate with teachers through email
How to Register
Parents and guardians are provided with an account that includes a username and password specific to each child. You must visit the school office where your student is enrolled during regular school hours and pick up your account information. To protect the confidentiality of a student's information, a photo ID such as a driver’s license will be required. We will not give out account information over the telephone, through e-mail or by U.S. mail. Account information will be distributed by the school’s information specialist.
Once registration is complete, log into PowerSchool to view your student's records.
