Announcements: Attention Graduating Seniors- END OF YEAR CONTROLLED ACCESS TO BUILDING

-    Monday, May 18  1:00PM-4:00PM  (Last Names: A-M)

-       Tuesday, May 19th 8:00AM-12:00PM (Last Names: N-Z)

With the close of the 2019-2020 school year, your child may have items that need to be returned to school or that may need to be retrieved as essential belongings.  Because your graduate will not return to our campus, the District will be offering an End of Year Controlled Access plan for the return or retrieval of items.  For the safety of students, staff, and our families, SCCPSS continues to follow social distancing practices and the guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control.

Graduating Seniors will be invited to come to school on May 18 or May 19.  Group scheduled times are noted above:

Please ensure textbooks, school technology (devices), media center textbooks, band uniforms, ROTC uniforms, athletic equipment and any other school property that may be in your child’s possession is returned.  You will find a clearly designated curbside drop off zone for the return of any school items. Students will also be able to pick up their diplomas, remaining honor cords, prom refund checks, grad bash refund checks, Lifetouch senior photos, and other items.  Yearbooks are not scheduled to arrive until June. More information will be provided later regarding yearbooks. Also band instruments should be returned to Portman’s Music Store on Monday and Tuesday.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS STILL AT SCHOOL?  If your graduate needs to enter the facility to retrieve belongings he/she may do so during the designated time provided. Limited access will be provided due to construction taking place on our campus.  Graduates will have 15 minutes to retrieve any belongings from the building.  Only the graduate will be permitted access to the facility. School personnel will be on site to assist. Simply follow directional traffic signs for parking.

Prior to entry your child is expected to wear face coverings.  No student will be allowed entry if not wearing a face covering. He/she may also be asked a series of questions based on CDC guidance to determine the potential for Covid-19 exposure.  Students should only enter the facility for the retrieval of essential items and will not be permitted to remain beyond the 15 minutes established period of time.
